Why I Created Verba

Verba came as an idea to me when I started playing with LLMs (Large language Models) such as the likes of ChatGPT. After a few months of using these I noticed that I would often use it to talk about something difficult that I was going through and it helped me 'talked things out' in a way that was akin to a close friend.

The funny thing with AI is that there was no judgment from it's side and hence no shame on mine! This allowed me to open up to it and discuss a lot of ruminating thoughts I had which we worked through together. Then I used it to summarize our conversations into diary style entries and Voila! that was the birth of Verba.

Over time I showed it to my sister who is a therapist and she quickly pointed out that this could be helpful to a lot of clients who go to therapy. This really got my wheels turning and turned what was previously a way to self regulate into an idea that could really help people.

This was the turning point where I decided I really wanted to push how humans could reflect and get support using these brilliant algorithms that could help us gain a much deeper understanding of ourselves. I'll explain why:

Before AI there was nothing that could take in our messy thoughts and life occurrences and make sense of it except well, other humans. Now what we have is a systematic way to understand what's going on in our lives and be a helping hand as each of us navigates the nooks and crannies of life.

With Verba you get a way to zoom out and observe your own mind outside yourself and see where you are heading. It's a completely new way to track what happens to you, how you respond and how that affects your mind.

I am really grateful to be able to build this product and share it with you so you can understand yourself like never before and hopefully it empowers you to go to reach new places both within and outside yourself.

Best,
Advait
